Using the Camera – This course is for anyone with an Android tablet who wishes to learn how to use the tablet’s built-in camera to take and share photos. Most modern Android tablets come with very sophisticated cameras, as well as features that let you edit and share the photos you take. In this course, we look at how to access your tablet’s camera, take great photos and selfies (short for self-portraits), edit them using the tablet’s Gallery app, and delete a picture that didn’t quite capture what you wanted. We also find out how easy it is to send a picture to a friend and use your favourite pic as a background image to add that personal touch to your tablet.
Messages & Privacy – This course is for anyone with an Android tablet who wishes to learn about the tablet’s clever built-in privacy settings to help manage who can contact you and when. We look at how to block interruptions and claim some peace and quiet by using the do not disturb feature, and a handy tip to help find your tablet if you accidentally misplace it.
Saving & Sharing Files – This course is for anyone with an Android tablet who wishes to learn how to save important files for easy access on their tablet. We show you how to download documents so you can access them later with ease – even without mobile data coverage or Wi-Fi. This is very handy for things like travel itineraries, especially if you’re trying to check them when overseas and out of mobile coverage. We also show how to share saved documents and delete unwanted files to save space on your tablet.
Listening to Podcasts – This course is for anyone with an Android tablet who wishes to learn how to use their tablet to listen to online radio and pre-recorded radio shows, known as podcasts. We show you, step-by-step, how to safely download the ABC Listen app, where to find live radio stations to listen to online, how podcasts work and how to download, play and sign up for new episodes of your favourite radio shows. We also look at ways to save data if you have a mobile data plan, and storage space on your tablet with our tips and tricks on how to become a podcast expert.
