The training will be presented by Peter O’Farrell from Conquered IT, a Network Partner of the Federal Government’s Be Connected Program which is aimed at increasing the confidence, skills and online safety of older Australians. If this day is successful the club could run other courses from https://beconnected.esafety.gov.au/topic-library. Times are approximate and may vary depending on questions and digressions.

9:30am – Registration and Introductions

• What are online shopping websites?
• Where can I buy and sell online?
• Other online shopping options

2:00pm – Shopping Online Safely Part 2 – (“How to Pay Online”)
• Ways to pay for goods online
• Pros and cons of PayPal
• Setting up a PayPal account
• Understanding extra costs
• Protecting your credit or debit card
